As we look forward to the start of our 2017 Live Lab Elevator festival, which kicks off tonight, we’d like to introduce our festival blogger. The lovely Gemma Hirst will be sharing her thoughts on our first event – a discussion about writing political theatre with an industry panel including writers Vinay Patel and Zoe Cooper who will be joined by our Literary Manager Gez Casey, Artistic Director Max Roberts and writer in residence Lindsay Rodden. She will also be joining us on Wednesday 22 February to watch a futuristic Double Bill of two new plays ParkLife and Sex With Robots and Other Devices.
Here’s a little bit more about Gemma to help you get to know the person behind the blog:
My name is Gemma Hirst, I am a Journalism graduate from Sunderland University. I used to perform on stage but now I prefer to be experience live theatre from the auditorium. Currently dancing through life, you can often find me blogging about theatre and culture. And when I’m not doing that I do enjoy the odd tipple of Pickerings gin.
